While Dad's Away - We All Play!

Dad's away at annual training for the Army for half of June, so while he's away we're staying busy with Mom!

Before Joe left, he gave Logan a present that could be used in negotiations with Logan to help keep him in line!  It's been working great!!  BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!  

Snacktime outside the first weekend Joe was gone.  HOT HOT outside, so it was great to have some crackers, apples, and water all outside in the shade.  And clean-up is a breeze, literally!  ;)

One of Josh's favorite outside activities is playing with the rocks.  We have to keep a close eye on him though as he thinks they're very tasty!  And Mom doesn't need a trip to the ER while Joe's away!

Josh's main dance move these days is rolling his arms - for the wheels on the bus or some other "rolling" song they sing at school that I'm not familiar with!  

And when Mom is in another room trying to keep the house picked up, she comes back and finds that the one cupboard without a child lock on it has been ransacked!

This was hilarious - later on in the day Logan decided to put the Buzz Lightyear box on his head.  He came running down the hallway saying..."I'm Buzz Lightyear!  To infinity and beyond!"  So creative!

After a trip to the playground with Josh and Logan, we ran into our neighbor Natalia.  We invited Natalia, her brother Lucas (1 month younger than Josh), and her parents over for an impromptu popsicle party!  What fun!

Then when the work week got started, I got a call at work from my neighbor Margie, and no, she wasn't calling to tell me our house was on fire!  She called to say that she made us a casserole and wondered what time we'd be home for dinner so she could bring it over!  She knew Joe was gone for a while and wanted to help me out!  We have some wonderful neighbors!!  Here are the boys enjoying their noodle casserole!
