In late April, after Joe being gone for about 3 months straight, we decided to take the kiddos on their first airplane ride to Disney World! We had an amazing family vacation! The boys were great travelers!
Finding it hard to sit still while waiting for the airplane!
We went the week before Joshua turned 2 so we could still have him sit on our laps. We found that we could actually fit all four of us on the seats across in our three seats! It worked out quite well!We took a car service from the airport to the resort. They stopped at a grocery store for us so we could get some food for our hotel room for the week. It was a great plan! We stayed at the Shades of Green resort for military families, located near the Polynesian, so we could take shuttles, buses, the monorail, or even walk to the Magic Kingdom. Plus three nights there was about the cost of one night at a Disney resort! I guess that makes up for Joe being gone about 12 weeks straight?!
Shuttle to the Magic Kingdom

First Ride! It's a Small World!
Meeting Buzz! One of the key highlights of the entire trip!
I think this was the People Mover ride. The boys loved being up high and watching everything go by.
Sweaty and waiting in line for another ride.
Ice cream sundae break!
The Winnie the Pooh ride
The fish in the water at our resort.
The boys out for dinner at the resort after our first day of resorts.
Day 2: Animal Kingdom. Here we are on the shuttle bright and early!
Trying on ears and hats (instead of buying them!)
Safari ride!
Rides! And hot and tired boys (and parents!)!!
Day 3: Back to Magic Kingdom!
Waiting to get on the Little Mermaid ride.
Magic Carpet Ride!
Logan testing his shooting skills and loving every minute!
Sitting down for some snacks in the shade!
Tom Sawyer Island!
Logan looked like he ate a Smurf after the cotton candy!
I have never seen such amazing balloon creations! Logan had an entire pirate hat, a parrot that clipped onto his shirt, and a sword!
Joshua trying out the balloon costume!
What a great family vacation! Can't wait to go back when the boys are older!
